Social Security Disability Research

Welcome to SSA Disability Research.

This page mirrors information posted to SSA.gov prior to February 2025 when it was removed. The site is a work in progress, but will serve as a repository for accessing files, datasets, reports, and documentation that were paid for by the American taxpayer. The original ssa.gov links are displayed wherever possible.

We hope SSA.gov restores all removed pages but we will serve as a backup in the meantime.

You can currently find information here about the National Beneficiary Survey (NBS), the Ticket to Work (TTW) Evaluation, the Promoting Opportunity Demonstration (POD), the Benefit Offset National Demonstration (BOND), the Homeless Outreach Projects & Evaluation (HOPE), the Mental Health Treatment Study (MHTS), the State Partnership Initiative (SPI) Evaluation, the Supported Employment Demonstration (SED), the Disability Determination Process (DDP), the TANF-SSI Disability Transition Project, and SSA's Lessons Learned from SSA Demonstrations.
